How We Research and Write Content

Every article on FaceliftTurkey.us follows a structured editorial process:

  1. Research: Content is researched using peer-reviewed medical journals (PubMed/NCBI) and professional society publications (ASPS, ISAPS). We prioritise systematic reviews and large-cohort studies over single case reports. We do not cite clinic or hospital marketing pages.
  2. Writing: Articles are written by medical content writers with a focus on accuracy, clarity, and patient relevance. Factual claims are supported by cited sources.
  3. Source check: Medical claims are checked against the cited literature before publication. We do not use an unnamed “medically reviewed” badge. Named reviewer profiles will appear on the reviewers page when a named physician is in place.
  4. Publication: Each article shows a last-updated date and a numbered sources list of the references cited in the text.

How We Check Medical Claims

Until a named physician reviewer is listed, accuracy is an editorial process, not a credentialed medical review. The editorial check asks:

  • Is each medical claim supported by a current whitelist source?
  • Could the wording be misread as personal advice or a guarantee?
  • Are risks and limits presented alongside benefits?
  • Do rates and ranges match the cited paper or society page?

Articles are updated when significant new evidence appears. The “Updated” date on each article is an editorial date, not a physician sign-off.

Our Sources

We cite from:

  • Peer-reviewed journals indexed on PubMed/NCBI — the primary source for medical claims
  • Professional medical societies — ASPS, ISAPS, and equivalent national bodies
  • Government and academic sources — NIH, MedlinePlus, CDC, and .edu publications

We do not cite marketing materials, unverified clinic claims, or anonymous online reviews as sources for medical information.

Corrections Policy

We take accuracy seriously. If you identify an error in any article:

  • Report it: Contact us via our contact page with the article URL and the specific claim you believe is incorrect.
  • Review: The editorial team will assess the reported issue against current evidence.
  • Correction: If an error is confirmed, we correct the article promptly. Significant corrections are noted at the top of the article with the date of correction.
  • Transparency: We do not silently alter published medical claims. Material changes are documented.

Independence and Revenue

FaceliftTurkey.us is an independent patient education resource. We are not a clinic, do not perform surgery, and do not employ surgeons.
